Are you in need of great employees? Are you curious about how to bring disability inclusion into your workplace? A disAbility Business-to-Business Summit, sponsored by Representative Greg Rothman, is bringing together stakeholders from business, government, and The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC), to foster discussion and collaboration for disability inclusion in the workplace. “The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties has dedicated countless hours to ensure that small and large businesses embrace diversity and support capable individuals with full inclusion in their workforce,” said Rothman. Come see why employers like The Woods at Cedar Run, Newport Buffalo Brew, and syncreon are embracing disability inclusion in the workplace. You will have the opportunity to listen and learn from these employers about their process and experiences in bringing inclusion into their businesses. There is no cost to attend the event, which includes snacks, beverages, tours of the vocational training facility, and opportunities for learning and networking. “With unemployment levels low, employers are taking notice that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities make great employees. While this idea is nothing new to the staff and those we serve at CPARC, we welcome discussions with employers that are interested in taking an active role to engage this valuable, if untapped, labor market,” says Anne Couldridge, Executive Director of CPARC. We hope you will join us for an afternoon of conversation on Tuesday, August 14 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the S. Wilson Pollock Center for Industrial Training, 262 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. To register, please contact CPARC at (717) 249-2611 or email Trisha Grace, Director of Development, at tgrace@cparc.org. The mission of The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC) is to empower, inspire and educate people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and the community.
