Central PA’s resident radio theater comedy troupe, The Not Ready for Drive Time Players, is ready to return to the stage for another extended holiday season – at its new home: the HBG Comedy Zone, 110 Limekiln Rd, New Cumberland, PA. Featured for Halloween: “Charlie and the Condom Factory,“ a futuristic (and raunchy) reinterpretation of the Willy Wonka story. Performances will be on two consecutive nights – Sunday, October 20th and Monday, October 21st, 6:30 p.m., at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone, located off exit 40A of I-83, on the same grounds as Boomerang Bar & Grill. Leading off each night will be “Trump is in Love (And Other Election-Year Horrors!),” a collection of short skits and songs. Admission for all performances is $5.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region, a local nonprofit that assists families with homelessness. Non-perishable food donations will also be collected at the door. The troupe’s actors, who read directly from scripts like old-fashioned radio theater performers with “live” sound effects, will once again present both a Halloween and Christmas show this season. The troupe: John Butler, Tessa Eberlein, Randy Gross, Lisa Nagele Hollenbach, Todd Matthews, Troy Matthews, Julia Tilley, Eric Weiss, and Randy Whitaker. Caution: these shows contain some strong language and mature themes. Viewer discretion advised. Note: this year’s Winter Radio Theater performances are scheduled for December 15th and December 16th, 6:30 p.m., at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone.
