For their 21st anniversary season, Central PA’s resident radio theater comedy troupe, The Not Ready for Drive Time Players, is dusting off a “blast from the past” that hasn’t been performed in nearly 15 years – and bringing it to its new home: the HBG Comedy Zone, 110 Limekiln Rd, New Cumberland, PA. Featured for this year’s WINTER RADIO THEATER show: “Deep Inside Oz,“ a for-adults-only blending of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Star Wars” that won Landless Theatre’s So Bad, It’s Good Playwriting Competition in 2008. Performances will be on two consecutive nights – Sunday, December 15th and Monday, December 16th, 6:30 p.m., at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone, located off exit 40A of I-83, on the same grounds as Boomerang Bar & Grill. Leading off each night will be “Reindeer Dance with Somebody (And Other Misbegotten Christmas Carols),” a collection of short skits and song spoofs. Admission for all performances is $5.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region, a local nonprofit that assists families with homelessness. Non-perishable food donations will also be collected at the door. Caution: these shows contain some strong language and mature themes. Viewer discretion advised.
